Drung waterfall is located in the Tangmarg tehsil of Gulmarg which is very popular for its waterfall. The name is given after a small village of Drung or Drang which lies around 3 km away from Tangmarg. The waterfall is 16 kms away from Gulmarg and 42 kms far from Srinagar. Due to very low temperatures, the mercury drops below zero degrees, so the waterfall also freezes. It freezes as the way in the falling shape of the water.
